Some words i didn't understand:
1. Pg.157, Word= encounters, Definition= unexpectedly experience or be faced with something. 2. Pg.168,Word =palpitations, Definition=a very strong heartbeat 3.Pg.91,word=deception,Definition= the action of deceiving someone. 4. Pg.161,Word=noncommittal,definition= to definite opinion or course of an action. 5.Pg.198,Word=inconsequential,definition= not important or significant Predictions/ inferances I predict that Lara Jean and Peter will brake up at the end of the book. I also predict that Josh and Margot with get back together when she comes home from collage. Inferences: I came to the conclusion that Genevieve sent the video to the account, because sh was jealous of Lara Jean. I also came to the conclusion that John Rose McClaren likes Lara Jean, but she's is dating Peter. Questions: "Who else saw them in the hot tub that night?" "Why does Kitty want her dad and Ms.Rothchild to get together so bad?" "Why is Peter still very close with Genevieve even though they broke up?" Connections with the book and I: She lost her mom(in first book too) and I have lost someone that was really close to me, and i know the feeling when you can't talk or see that person anymore. Another connection is that, when the video was sent out of her and Peter in the hot tub, it got out everywhere, and that's happening a lot more now and days, in our generation. Characterization: Peter is a very popular guy. The type that gets the cheerleaders, or athlete. He is tall, with brown hair. He has a funny, laid back type of personality. And in the book he try's to protect Lara jean from everything that happens, but he also still comforts Genevieve when he family is having hard times. Point of view? This book is mostly in first person. Sometimes you really can't tell, but its mostly Lara Jean's story. Non-fiction/fiction This is a non-fiction book because this could really happen in the real world, and i would describe it as a teen romance novel. Authors purpose? I think the author's purpose in this book was to tell people that, you could have a fairy tale ending, but its not a promise. Everything could go right, but it also couldn't. Like when Lara Jean said she wanted her and Peter to break up, I though wow, crappy ending, but then in the tree house they made up, kissed, and i think started over on there relationship, with no rules. So I think Jenny Han wanted to mostly inform, or entertain her readers. Cuase/effect chart: |
